A MEMBER of student movement, Zimbabwe National Students Union (Zinasu) who is also a grandson to an aspiring member of parliament under the Nelson Chamisa-led MDC Alliance is reportedly wanted for questioning by the police on allegations of inciting public violence and convening illegal meetings.
Alfa Sibanda, an active Zinasu member from the Midlands State University who is also a grandson to the late Ms Nellie Sibanda an aspiring MP under the MDC Alliance is part of a group that organised an illegal meeting at Impala Car Rentals in Harare.

This follows the alleged abduction of Tawanda Mutsheyiwa with one of the car used discovered to be belonging to Impala Care Rentals.
Sources revealed that Sibanda was initially arrested on 28 September where he was held for questioning later released and ordered to stay at his given address till the conclusion of investigations.
“Sibanda claimed to his colleagues that he was beaten during his time under arrest. He alleged that he was also warned from being part of any student movement and actively participating in opposition politics.
“However, after his release he claimed he feared for his life alleging that unknown assailants were constantly following him and always parked outside his grandmother’s house where he stayed,” said the source.
It is alleged that, fearing for his life, Sibanda then went into hiding saying he feared being arrested by the authorities again.
His grandmother, later succumbed to injuries sustained after she was attacked by unknown assailants at her house who were looking for Sibanda’s whereabouts.
Police sources confirmed that Sibanda had been taken in for questioning, revealing that his whereabouts where now unknown despite being told to reside at his given address.
