Sudan Ambassador, Speaker Advocate Mudenda discuss bilateral ties

Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan, Ibrahim Elsheikh Ahmed met with the Speaker of the National Assembly, Advocate Jacob Mudenda today and discussed various issues of mutual interest and the efforts being made to resolve the civil war in Sudan.

Ambassador Ahmed and Advocate Mudenda met at the Speaker’s office at Parliament Building in Mt Hampden.

He highlighted that they discussed ongoing deliberations for Sudan and Zimbabwe to sign Memoranda of Understanding in trade and investment.

Ambassador Ahmed also commended the cordial bilateral relations between the two nations.

Advocate Mudenda also briefed the Ambassador on Zimbabwe’s Constitutional Amendment Number 3 Bill, which seeks to extend electoral cycles for the President, Parliament, and local authorities from five to seven years to reduce election costs and enhance stability.
