Sungura musician Lovezh unveils new album

Sungura musician Lovemore “Lovezh” Nherudzo has released his third album titled “Wenyama Ngaafare”

The six-track album was launched live on Radio Zimbabwe last Friday and it received positive reviews.

Speaking in an interview, Lovezh said he is overwhelmed by the positive messages about the album.

“I am pleasantly surprised by how people are responding to the album. After all the hard work I put into this album, I am grateful to my fans who keep on supporting my music. It’s very comforting and motivating,” said Lovezh.

The album was produced by radio personality Leonard Katsangu, popularly known as Makamaradha, and it is infused with rhumba.

Lovezh said he wanted to add spice to the sungura genre.

“I wanted something new and exciting for my fans. It is important for us artists to think outside the box. I don’t want to be only associated with one genre. I want my music to go to many people and I believe we can do a lot as musicians if we cast our nets wide. I hope this album will go a long way in showing people my versatility,” said Lovezh.

The album has songs “Venyama Ngaafare”, “Denga Nenyika”, “Vanodanana”, “Munhamo”, “Unopenga” and “Ndisiyei Ndakadaro”.

The musician recently collaborated with Somandla Ndebele on a single that has made waves and he is working on other collaborations that will be released as singles to follow up to the album.
