TILE manufacturer Sunny Yi Feng has partnered Zimpapers for this year’s edition of the Cancer Power Walk.
The event, which is now in its sixth year, is scheduled for November 13 and will run under the theme “Support fight against cancer”.
Sunny Yi Feng spokesperson Wang Xiang said: “Over the little time we have been here, we have learnt that community is important, as the saying goes ‘rume rimwe harikombi churu’, which means one cannot do things alone.
“With this old adage in mind and health being one of the things we value the most, Sunny Yi Feng has decided to partner with Zimpapers in its sixth annual Cancer Power Walk to be held on November 13.”
The company said cancer is one of humanity’s worst foes.
“Lack of awareness has resulted in late diagnosis, people losing their lives only because the cancer was found too late.
“Experts say the best way to battle cancer is early diagnosis; we want people to know that this monster exists.”
Following the relaxation of Covid-19 restrictions, this year’s event will include a physical walk, which will take place in Harare, Bulawayo, Mutare, Masvingo, Gweru and Kariba.
Sunny Yi Feng is a porcelain and ceramics tiles and tableware manufacturing company founded in 2018.
It employs about 1 700 youths, 60 percent of whom are women.
Other partners for the Cancer Power Walk are Micour Visions, National Aids Council, Fusertech, Refresher Mineral Water, Clean Zimbabwe, Bata, Randnet, Wellness Medical Aid Society, Amtec Motors and Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF).
