Super Trouper ends season on a high

SUPER TROUPER won the Breeders Fillies race at Borrowdale at the weekend.
The seasoned runner upstaged a number of favourites who had entered the big race.
Jockey Quinton Riddle had to sign an admission of guilt form for contravening Rule 58.10.2, which deals with using a crop in an excessive manner during a race.
Super Trouper beat Approval Rating, a stablemate from the Gorkhan Terzi yard, the pre-race favourite by 0.05 lenses. Count the Music was third.

The sixth race of the day, the Breeders Fillies Mile, saw Eversolucky also from Gorhan Terzi and with Riddle as the pilot, win by two lengths.
Argodaba finished second while Hollywood Babe was third and pre-race favourite Tallie Two fourth.

Seven races were held on Saturday to close the 2013-14 season.
The next season will resume on September 7.
