Superb Riches Mining is a mining company located in the mining district of Insiza, Filabusi and headquartered in Bulawayo’s North End suburb.
The company was officially opened in October 2014, directed by Mr Leonard Ndlovu.
Superb Riches Mining offers mining services such as gold milling, vat leaching, mining equipment for hire (earth moving machines, trucks, tractors and compressors).
The company is also one of the best Fidelity Gold buying agents operating not only in Bulawayo but in Filabusi, Gwanda, Kezi, Mawabeni and Esigodini as well.
Superb Riches Mining recently opened a gold elution plant at the Filabusi Business Centre which mainly specialises in gold purification processes.
The company has over 100 employees who work round the clock to ensure that the goals of the company are met. With the support and guidance of the company’s director Mr Ndlovu, the company has grown and strives to reach greater heights.
Superb Riches Mining has over the years achieved a number of milestones including being awarded the Ministry of Mines and Mining Development Best Small-Scale Gold Miller Award 2016, Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC) 2021 Businessman of the year Award (1st Runner-up) and the ZNCC 2022 Rural Businessperson of the year Award (Winner). Renewed investment interest in the mining sector has seen the establishment and expansion of critical mining operations across the country with the gold sector expected to deliver the 100-tonne target.
President Mnangagwa launched the US$12 billion mining industry strategic roadmap in 2019 and its targets are set to be met by the end of the year. The mining sector is critical in generating foreign currency, contributing about 70 percent of the country’s forex earnings, largely driven by gold, platinum and diamond.
According to research, the Zimbabwe mining legacy dates back to Great Zimbabwe when the Munhumutapa Empire had command over and exploited not less than 4 000 gold and 500 copper mines spread across the country. As part of the value addition process, gold was made into articles of jewellery and used to decorate articles such as knife handles, ceremonial axe handles and other articles of religion.
