Incredible! This should be the password for July, which is laden with high-profile events hard to resist.
As has become the norm, we give you a guide to usher you into the weekend in style.
But all the same, it seems the gospel music is dominating this time.
Below are some of the major events to look forward to.
All roads lead to The Vine’s concert
All is set tomorrow for ‘The Vine @10’, which is a celebration of the group’s 10 years in the music industry.
The event, which will run under the theme “Great is Thy Faithfulness”, will be held at the Rainbow Towers.
It will feature some renowned artistes from the US, United Kingdom, South Africa and Germany among others.
They include Jekalyn Carr, Vashawn Mitchell, Annatoria, Everton Mlalazi and a 100-piece orchestra from Johannesburg, a 30-piece brass section, a 30-member choir and 30 children from the Adventist Pathfinders.
In an interview, The Vine choir director, Everton Mlalazi, said all was set for the show.
“We are excited to mark this significant milestone with a special concert that will also be recorded for a commemorative DVD release later this year,” said Mlalazi.
Over the years, the choir has worked with big names in the industry, among them South African musicians Mabongi Mabaso, Mahalia Buchanan and Grammy-award-winning Soweto Gospel Choir.
July Worship Music Festival continues
The July Worship Music Festival which began yesterday at the Harare Gardens, is continuing until tomorrow with a star-studded line up.
It started off with a music workshop which saw some of the local gospel artistes attending.
Artistes expected to perform include Minister Ellard and Sharon Cherayi, Tapiwa Masara, Bridget Ndanga, Eleana Makombe, Psalmist Hubert and the host minister Michael Mahendere.
Juntal dates Ambassador Hotel
Rhumba king Juntal Serima is set to treat fans today at the Ambassador Hotel, with his signature “waist management” choreography, as revellers shake off the winter chills.
Reigniting the spark Juntal goes to Nyabira, where he will be performing at the Grill Shack tomorrow.
On decks will be esteemed DJs Buzi Le Maestro and Lackaz the artist.
Zim, SA and UK tour
on the cards for Sulu
Dendera singer Sulumani Chimbetu embarks on a tour that will cater for his local, South African and UK fans.
The tour begins at Sherwood Golf Club this evening before proceeding to Goromonzi tomorrow at Brace VIP Night Club.
Returning to the Sunshine City, the musician is set to date Belgravia on Sunday before closing off the Zim frenzy with a farewell show at the Yard in Belvedere.
It’s a ‘Tight Party’
Troyka Leisure Centre hosts Gary Tight for the Winter Jazz Sunday.
The musician, who has been seemingly fading off, is set to rekindle his romance with fans over the weekend. He is famed for tracks such as “Ndizarurire” in which he featured the late great Oliver Mtukudzi.
The Tight Party is a collaboration he did with his father, Willom. Having closed off 2023 with “Afinhura Aspaka”, the musician has starved fans and his performance at Troyka is anticipated to mark his return to the stage.
