A popular local artiste is set to spice the Harare Lockdown gig set for Harare International Conference Centre on December 19. The popular musician will be a surprise act at the show that will feature South Africa’s Mafikizolo, Oliver Mtukudzi, Tocky Vibes and Alexio Kawara.
Organisers of the show said the musician will make a guest appearance at the show and spice up the gig with a brief performance that is likely to be a collaboration with Mafikizolo.
“The musician will come and grace the event.
“We want to give people a diverse music selection and the musician’s performance will bring a different flavour to the show,” noted the organisers.
“We are happy because everything is going according to plan and we are certain the show will be a memorable event. People have been calling to ask about ticket sales and we have decided to start selling them on December 15.
“The tickets will be available at HICC and all Focal Point outlets in Harare. We have made arrangements with various other entertainment providers besides musicians to ensure that we deliver a top class event.”
The Harare Lockdown gig will come on a date when most companies would close for the festive season and workers are expected to have an exciting start to their festivities.
Mafikizolo has been doing well on the regional market for a long time and the groups’ return to Harare signals an exciting event.
Mtukudzi, who is riding high with his new album “Mukombe Wemvura” will lead the local line-up while Alexio, Tocky Vibes and the surprise act will serve fans of diverse music acts and it promises to be a show not to miss.
