Sweswe promises Sheasham win

GWERU- based Sheasham FC coach Lizwe Sweswe said his target is to survive relegation come the end of the Premier Soccer League season.

The Construction boys as Sheasham FC are affectionately known, entertain Hwange FC at Bata Stadium tomorrow and coming into the match following a 2-0 defeat to Yadah FC.

Addressing journalists during a press conference ahead of the Hwange FC match, Sweswe said his boys have put aside the disappointing loss and are looking to maximise on home ground and pick up maximum points.

“The boys have been working very hard during the training sessions. We have been working very hard to fix our shortcomings we experienced during the loss to Yadah FC. From that loss, there were so many positives from that game. We just lost so many scoring opportunities and we have been working on addressing that,” he said.

Sweswe said they are now looking forward to the weekend game at home.

“We are looking forward to a positive result against Hwange FC. We need the three points to stay away from the relegation zone. Football always has a lot of pressure but what is important is countering the pressure and focusing on collecting points. Losing, yes it happens, but what is important is to meet the target and our target is to survive relegation come end of the season. We have to work hard and push at all costs so that we have positive results for the team,” he said.

Sweswe called on the team’s supporters to come in their numbers and rally behind the team.

“We value our fans who are the 12th player and we need them and it would be okay if they come in numbers because we are promising them a win against Hwange FC,” he said.
