Table tennis team in Four Nations tourney

from June 23-25.
Other countries that are taking part in the tournament are Tanzania, Malawi and the hosts Zambia. The tournament was last staged in 2009 and won by Tanzania with Zimbabwe finishing third.
Last year the tournament failed to take place following the untimely death of Malawi secretary general for Table Tennis, Sloriano Massah. Zimbabwe will be fielding players in the senior men and senior women competitions. Zimbabwe Table Tennis Union president John Muringani said this was a good warm-up for the players before the All-Africa Games later this year.
“We are taking the tournament seriously as we want to step up our preparations for the All-Africa games. We have selected the top players in the men’s team and in women’s team we have just picked (randomly) because some of them have no passports and others are still at school,” said Muringani.
Teams:
Men’s
Tinashe Chikaka, Takudzwa Mudonhi, Brian Chamboko.
Women’s
Cynthia Marisamhuka, Stella Muringisi, Felistus Mashingaidze.
Coach: Tinashe Duri
Head of delegation: John Muringani.
