ZIFA Southern Region Division Two pacesetters Talen Vision will be without coach Saul Ndlovu for today’s crunch tie away to Zim Leopards. Ndlovu is attending a Zimbawe Soccer Coaches Association Level 3 coaching course, leaving his assistant Owen Butete to take charge. Talen Vision lead the league table with 39 points from 19 games, only a point ahead of second placed Highlanders Academy.
They go into today’s match seeking maximum points as a slip up could hamper their chances of gaining promotion into Division One.
Talen Vision chairman Otrick Siziba said he was aware of the consequences of any slip up at this stage.
“We’ll be missing our coach, but that will not stop us from surging forward. We would love to emulate last week’s performance, which saw us scoring three goals. We’ll maintain our focus as the championship race is far from over. At the same time, we’ll not underestimate our opponents as things don’t normally go as planned in football,” said Siziba.
The log leaders produced a convincing performance last week to thrash fallen Zimbabwe Saints 3-0.
Highlanders Academy meet Chicken Inn Juniors at Njube Desert grounds.
The young Bosso lads last week thumped Zimplow 4-0 to keep pace with Talen Vision. ZRP Ntabazinduna host league anchors East Rovers.
