ZIFA Southern Region Division One runners-up Talen Vision might have been disappointed by failing to secure promotion to topflight football, but the development and improvement of players in the team is clear for everyone to see.
Attacking midfielder Ronald Kaunda was one of the best players in the team and indeed in the league last season and the 25-year-old, who has attracted interest from many topflight teams, says he is only focusing on improving himself wherever he is going to be playing this season.
“I have heard a lot being said but I believe that only God has the final say as he already knows how my year is going to be.
My only focus is to work harder and improve in order to be one of the best players in the country,” said Kaunda.
He was one of the most used players in Golding Dube’s side as he played 26 games and had eight goal contributions, scoring four and providing four assists.
“I still believe that I could have done better, but at times I would not play as much as I would have wanted because of the other players, we have a lot of quality in our team, but my only focus is to build from where I left last year,” said Kaunda.
Talen Vision will again be one of the favourites to win the league this season, but it will be interesting to see if the former Bulawayo Chiefs, Ajax Hotspurs, Chicken Inn and Bantu Rovers star will be part of the Filabusi-based outfit.
