Talen Vision win Filabusi derby

Talen Vision 1-0 Jordan Sinnot

A second half goal by Ronald Kaunda was enough for Talen Vision to grab bragging rights in the Filabusi football derby played against Jordan Sinnot yesterday at Luveve Stadium.

The Zifa Southern Region Division One Soccer League encounter had all the ingredients of a derby, with both sets of players giving their best in the fight for points.

So tense and competitive was the fixture that Jordan Sinnot coach Johanisi Nhumwa got a red card after full time for remonstrating against the officials.

The former Manica Diamonds gaffer was visibly unhappy with the officiating.

“What can l say? They had their own advantage which l won’t talk about,” said Nhumwa, insinuating that Talen Vision had the backing of match officials.

Had they been clinical in front of goal Talen Vision who have collected 16 points from six games, the same as leaders ZPC Hwange could have scored more goals against Jordan Sinnot.

Talen Vision coach Miroslov Nemec said they know exactly what they need to work on to have the goals coming their way.

“We played well in the first half and we could have been three goals up in the first half had we taken our chances. We are happy to have won this one. From here the goal is to win the next game,” said Miro.

ZPC Hwange were the biggest winners of the weekend as they cruised to a 7-0 victory over Binga Pirates. Adachi got three points on a 3-0 scoreline after their opponents Emakhandeni Pirates failed to book a stadium.
