Tanzanian Ambassador pays courtesy call on VP Mohadi

Tanzanian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Ms Suzan Kaganda paid a courtesy call on Vice President Dr Kembo Mohadi at his offices in Harare today.

The two discussed various aspects of bilateral cooperation between Zimbabwe and Tanzania, with a particular focus on trade, tourism, mining and agriculture.

After the meeting, Ambassador Kaganda said the visit was meant to strengthen ties between the two nations.

“Today I had the opportunity to discuss some issues of cooperation with the Vice President.

“Among the issues that he touched on and emphasised is our Joint Permanent Commission on Cooperation,” she said, adding that they also discussed potential investment cooperation in mining and agriculture.

Ambassador Kaganda also revealed that Tanzania has launched a direct flight to Victoria Falls, which is expected to boost trade and tourism.

She said there is need to put more effort in luring investors to Zimbabwe and Tanzania to boost trade between the two nations.
