Tanzania’s President Suhulu Hassan wins election with 98% of votes

Tanzania’s electoral commission declared today that President Samia Suluhu Hassan won the Presidential election with nearly 98% of the votes.

The result hands President Hassan, who took power in 2021 after the death of her predecessor, a five-year term to govern the East African country of 68 million people. – Reuters
