JAIROS Tapera’s time at Manica Diamonds has officially come to an end after the club and coach agreed to part ways following a prolonged suspension triggered by poor results.
Tapera, whose contract was meant to run until December 2026, was shown the door as the Gem Boys continue to sink deeper into the relegation zone.
The club confirmed the separation this week, with Tafadzwa Mashiri now continuing as caretaker coach — despite picking up just two points in a month since taking over.
Manica Diamonds sit 15th on the log with 22 points from 21 games, a dramatic fall from 10th place when Tapera was suspended after Matchday 17.
The search for a new coach is now on, but fans fear the chopping and changing may have come too late.
