THE chaos at ZIFA hit another low yesterday when Warriors interim coach, Jairos Tapera, disowned the squads which have have been announced by the association for duty at the COSAFA Cup tournament . The regional competition is set for South Africa from Wednesday to July 7.

The latest squad was released yesterday afternoon when Tapera’s Manica Diamonds were battling against Dynamos at Sakubva. The match ended in a goalless draw.

“I don’t know who released the two teams, I haven’t announced anything yet, you will all know when I pick my own players,” said Tapera.

“The foreign-based players, coming from England, have all confirmed their interest to be part of this tournament.”

He urged fans to be more lenient with the Warriors.

“I don’t know what is happening, as far as I know, anyone who is picked to play for the national team should be supported.

“The criticism on the boys has been too much and I’m pleading with fans to be more kind,” said Tapera.
