YOUNG Warriors mentor, Jairos Tapera, is the new coach of South African Division One side Black Leopards.

He signed a three-year deal worth 500 00 rand a month.

Tapera is the latest Zimbabwe coach to move to South Africa after Joey Antipas joined AmaZulu.

Leopards have a love affair with Zimbabwean coaches having been under the guidance of former Warriors coach Sunday Chidzambwa who is now at ZPC Kariba. Tapera’s Swaziland-based deal broker, Dingane Maduna, who has about 15 Zimbabwean coaches on his books, confirmed the deal but could not shed more details.

“Jairos Tapera has agreed a three-year deal with Black Leopards and could be unveiled any time. The contract will run from the 1st of June 2016 to 31 May 2019.

“Leopards are aware of Tapera’s engagement as the Under-20 national coach and are prepared to release him for the Cameroon qualifier.”
