Tashera claims Mr WFFZ Grand Prix

JAMES Tashera was the biggest winner at the inaugural World Fitness Federation Zimbabwe contest at the Zimbabwe College of Music on Saturday night.

The 23-year-old scooped both the junior and senior men body-building titles, beating Stanslous Chirenje into second place.

Tashera was delighted with his performance and attributed his success to hard work.

“I am very happy with the win. The competition was very tough, and I am grateful to the organisers for putting this together. After I won the junior category, I took a gamble to take part in the senior men body-building and it came out positive for me.

“I am happy that I managed to put Kadoma on the map. As someone who trains alone it gives me confidence. I am now looking forward to taking part in more other contests. I am going to continue working hard so that I take part in more tournaments,” said Tashera.

Chirenje was second with Prince Moyo in third place. For his efforts Tashera walked away US$300 richer and a hamper.

Trust Pondo won the jean model beating Haare Gonzo and Ngonidzashe Marashe to second and third respectively.

Beloved George successfully defended his sports model contests ahead of Malcom Bvute and Francois Nyashanu.

WFFZ president Godwin Simbarashe Mhaka was satisfied with the event and heaped praises on the sponsors.
