TATENDA Safaris has overcome its challenges to become one of Victoria Falls’ major service providers.
The company suffered a huge setback when a fire gutted one of its buildings.
The fire, however, did not cause much damage except to the administration block.
In a statement, Mrs Farai Gunda, the proprietor said they are fully operational.
“None of our rooms were affected by the fire,” Gunda said in a statement.
“Yes, there was a fire at our premises, but no children or adults were hurt. The fire only affected the office and the managing director’s house.”
The lodge was established in 1993 as a small establishment and grew to become a self-sustaining project with 50 rooms that can accommodate more than 200 guests.
It offers river cruise, fishing, game drives, horse riding, helicopter flights over the Victoria Falls, canoeing and rafting.
