HARARE City coach Taurai Mangwiro said they will be on a revenge mission in today’s Castle Lager Premiership soccer match against Buffaloes at Rufaro.
City fell 2-1 to the Mutare-based side in their first meeting earlier this season and the former Masvingo United and CAPS United coach Mangwiro will be looking for nothing short of three points today.
Mangwiro, who will miss the services of skipper David Kutayuripo, Crispen Dickson and Hebron Makukutu, said they have enough cover for the trio.
“We need maximum points in this game. They beat us in the opening game and that gives us pressure to gain some measure of revenge in this match.
“They have a good side which we respect and I believe we are going to come out with a positive result. We will miss some important players in Kutyauripo (injury), Makukutu (injury) and Dickson, who is serving a suspension.”
Mangwiro said they are also not reading much into their last game which they won 4-1 in the Chibuku Super Cup.
“I will be facing my big brother Saul Chaminuka who I have respect for but I also need to win.
“Things were not rosy for him but as much I would support him, it is not in this game. We need maximum points. We are not going to read too much into our last game which we won 4-1, we will approach this game as a new one.
“The absence of the three key players will impact on us but we will improvise as we have enough cover. It is difficult to be without key players but we have to play around with what we have,” Mangwiro said.
