Taxi driver’s body found at disused mine

Mhangura residents are in shock following the discovery of the decomposing body of a pirate taxi driver, which was dumped at a disused mine. Milton Madzongo (28), of 71 Chebanga in Mhangura, had been missing since December 21, 2017 after leaving home to ply the Chinhoyi-Mhangura Road in the morning.

Mashonaland West police spokesperson Inspector Clemence Mabgweazara confirmed the incident. Madzongo’s decomposing body was discovered at the copper slum dumps last Thursday at around 11am. The corpse was partially covered with mud.

“His body was buried in a shallow grave dug about three metres from a footpath,” said Insp Mabgweazara. Insp Mabgweazara is appealing for information that will help to solve the case.
