Teachers get accommodation cushion

The Zimbabwe Teachers’ Association, in partnership with Zimbabwe Housing Trust, has allocated 85 high-density residential stands to teachers as part of efforts to cushion them.
The stands measure 200 square metres.
Masvingo Zimta provincial executive Mr Nepheos Fred Themba confirmed said modalities are being worked out to ensure that construction starts early next month.

He said members would pay US$65 per month for five years before assuming full ownership of the property.
Mr Themba said Zimta was also negotiating with local authorities in the province such as Gutu, Bikita, Chiredzi to facilitate stands allocations at district level.
