Team Zim leaves for Zambia

FIFTY athletes left the country for Zambia yesterday morning to compete in the Africa Junior Championship that starts in Ndola tomorrow and ends on Wednesday, May 3.

The team is led by the National Athletics Association of Zimbabwe (Naaz) head coach for junior and youth teams Briad Nhubu.

Team Zimbabwe left upbeat, with the head of technical team confident that the athletes will give podium performances at the African Under-18 and Under-20 combined championships.

The team had a five-day training camp at Allan Wilson and Queen Elizabeth High Schools in Harare before their departure where specialist trainers took athletes through their paces— @ZililoR
