DAVID MANTIZIBA’s appetite for using innovation to address real-life challenges has seen him become highly successful at a very young age.

The 24-year-old entrepreneur is always looking for ways of bringing convenience in areas plagued by red tape.

He is currently listed among the Institute of Corporate Directors Zimbabwe’s 40 under 40 most prominent young leaders.

Mantiziba founded microfinance institution WildFin Financial Services, which offers a range of innovative and tailor-made financial services to individuals and businesses, including salary-based loans to civil servant loans.

Within five years, his enterprise has grown to become one of the leading microfinance companies in the country.

It also has a presence in neighbouring Zambia.

WildFin recently launched a fintech application that offers public sector workers an easy way of accessing supplementary income through instant loans.

It allows them to purchase household gadgets using their smartphones and have them delivered to their doorstep.

Mantiziba said civil servants can buy furniture, electrical gadgets and other valuables using the same platform.

The application, called WildFin Smart Loan App, enables civil servants to access support during financial emergencies.

“The innovative WildFin Smart Loan App is the first fintech of its kind to be introduced by a microfinance institution in the country,” he said.

“In today’s fast-paced world, financial emergencies and urgent cash needs can arise at any moment. During such times, having quick access to funds becomes crucial.

“The WildFin Smart Loan App, which is supported by most smartphones, enables users to apply for personal loans, receive quick approvals and disburse funds directly into their bank accounts.”

He said users can further use the app to purchase household goods online.

“The gadgets will be immediately delivered,” he said.

“One of the primary advantages of having WildFin Smart Loan App on your phone is the convenience it offers.

“Whether you are at home, at work or on the move, you can apply for a loan anytime and from anywhere in the country.

“Gone are the days of visiting banks or financial institutions in person, waiting in long queues and dealing with extensive paperwork.”

The new application, he said, resonates well with the drive towards engendering a paperless society.

“The application is designed to significantly streamline the loan approval process.

“Unlike traditional lending institutions, which may take days or weeks to process loan applications, this app provides lightning-fast approvals.”

Once a loan application is approved, he added, the money is deposited directly into the applicant’s bank account within minutes.

He said applicants are requested to upload documents such as proof of identity and income virtually.

“The elimination of physical paperwork expedites loan processing, making it a hassle-free experience for borrowers.”

Mantiziba is also co-owner of Eazi Apps, a UK-based tech company that develops mobile apps and software.
