TECHNOLOGIST Blessing Mudehwe has launched two books aimed at inspiring youths to break into the field of technology.
In the works, “Audio-visual Insights” and “Sensational Experiences”, the writer highlights the important roles technology plays in the modern-day world.
He also emphasises the need for today’s youths to move with the times and embrace technology.
“We are living in a modern world that is driven by technology. There is need for our youths to be equipped with the latest technological advances so that they will not be left behind,” Mudehwe said.
The 42-year-old author chronicles the advent of technology and how it has advanced.
In a bid to inspire youths, he gives examples of billionaires who acquired their wealth through investing in the technology sector.
“In Africa and the rest of the world, we witnessed individuals who became billionaires after investing in the technology industry. Here in Zimbabwe, we have Dr Strive Masiyiwa, who made a fortune out of this industry,” added Mudehwe.
Government launched the Education 5.0 system that is premised on teaching, research, community service, innovation and industrialisation.
In the books, Mudehwe gives the Education 5.0 system the thumbs-up.
According to the author, many countries have used technology to transform their economies and, in the end, develop themselves.
Singapore and Indonesia, Mudehwe writes, are shining examples of how poor countries can effectively use technology to develop their economies.
He added that “in Africa, countries such as Rwanda and Egypt are making some technological advances”.
The publications are readily available on local bookstore shelves and also on Amazon.
