THE Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting inclusion and supporting vulnerable members of society, with proceeds from this year’s Bulawayo Charity Golf Tournament set to benefit the Zimbabwe Albino Association (ZIMAS).
Speaking during the prize-giving and cocktail function of the 2026 ZERA Charity Golf Tournament in Bulawayo on Friday, ZERA board member Mr Louise Matutu said the annual event had once again demonstrated the power of partnerships in transforming lives.
He thanked golfers, sponsors and stakeholders for supporting the initiative, saying their participation had contributed to both the success of the tournament and the charitable cause it supports.
“Allow me, on behalf of the ZERA board and management, to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who participated in and supported today’s event. Your presence, enthusiasm and generosity have contributed immensely to the success of this tournament and the noble cause it represents,” said Mr Matutu.
He said while golfers competed for honours on the course, the real beneficiaries would be members of the communities whose lives would be improved through the funds raised.
“While today’s competition on the golf course showcased remarkable skill, sportsmanship and camaraderie, the true winners are the communities and individuals whose lives will be positively impacted through the proceeds raised from this initiative.

“This tournament continues to demonstrate the power of collective action and the difference that can be made when stakeholders come together in support of a worthy cause,” he said.
Mr Matutu paid tribute to the Zimbabwe Albino Association for its work in advocating for and supporting persons with albinism.
He said ZERA remained committed to promoting inclusion and supporting initiatives that uplift vulnerable members of society.
