GEDION Teguru returned to the stage to win the Harare Classic at Reps Theatre after overcoming stiff competition from 10 other athletes who took to the podium.
Teguru, who is under Fitness First in Harare, was in fine form to beat a very competitive line up who were battling for the USS $2 000 purse first prize.
The hulk said he was happy with the win and is looking forward to national events.
“I am happy with my performances and I am glad to all those who have supported me.
“The contests was tough and I am grateful to the judges who did well. The stage was very competitive but after hard work it has given me the results,” said Teguru.
Teguru was ahead of gym-mate and pre-contest favourite Noah Dzvokora who has been doing well in the previous contests. Dzvokora settled for second place. The Fitnes First athletes were in their own class as they were ahead of South African-based Nigel Maphosa.
