POLICE have put a cash reward on the head of a man linked to one of the most horrifying family massacres in Guruve, as the manhunt for suspected killer Anymore Zvitsva (32) enters a critical stage.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police have offered a ‘substantial monetary reward’ for information leading to the arrest of Zvitsva, who is also wanted in connection with a gruesome multiple murder at Ona Farm and a separate killing involving three members of the same family in Zimuna Village.

In a press statement released on 19 December 2025, national police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the reward as officers intensify the nationwide dragnet.

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police is offering a substantial monetary reward for anyone with credible information which leads to the location and subsequent arrest of murder suspect, Anymore Zvitsva (32),” said Comm Nyathi, without revealing how much the reward is.

Zvitsva is the prime suspect in the slaughter of five members of the same family at Plot 9, Ona Farm, Guruve, on the night of 11 December 2025. The victims were identified as Grace Zvitsva (66), Loice Chiringaushe (37), Takudzwa Kariva (5), Tatenda Chirenje (2) and Tendai Zvitsva (40), who later died upon admission at Guruve Hospital.

Police say the killings were discovered after a neighbour heard disturbing noises and rushed to the homestead, only to find a blood soaked scene and multiple bodies inside the house. Five other children were rescued unharmed from a spare bedroom.

Police further revealed that the suspect is “also linked to the recent murder cases in Zimuna Village, Chief Bepura,” where three members of the Chipangura family were killed.

Commissioner General of Police Stephen Mutamba has personally sanctioned the reward, urging the public to help stop further bloodshed.

“Anyone who gives the information will certainly be rewarded as pledged by the Commissioner General of Police, Stephen Mutamba,” said Comm Nyathi.

Police have deployed drones, Support Unit, CID, Canine and Horse patrols, with traditional leaders and community members also roped into the hunt.

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police urges those with information to contact the National Complaints Desk on 0242 703631 or WhatsApp 0712800197 or the Officer Commanding Guruve Police District, Chief Superintendent Marange on 0719010093 or approach any nearest Police Station,” said Comm Nyathi.

Police warned that anyone harbouring the suspect will face the full wrath of the law as the net tightens around the fugitive killer.
