Terry wants to stay

LONDON. — John Terry has told Chelsea he is ready to sit down and discuss a new contract at Stamford Bridge. Skipper Terry (34) is having an outstanding season. The Blues are seven points clear at the top of the English Premier League and he produced yet another commanding performance on Tuesday as he led his team to a 1-1 draw at Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

“The club know my position,” said Terry.

“Hopefully I know theirs and it will get done.

“No talks have happened yet, but we both respect each other’s position. There’s more important players to deal with first, like Eden Hazard’s (whose new five-year contract was finally signed last week). For me, that was the most important for the club. — The Daily Express.
