Genesis 19:14
So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-inlaw, who had married his daughters, and said, “Get up, get out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city!” But to his sonsin-law he seemed to be joking. (NKJV)
EVEN though Lot’s sons-in-law were connected to a man with katalambano, they failed to notice that.
As a result, while others survived, they remained in the city that was to be destroyed with fire and they died when they were not supposed to die.
As much as you should perceive a man of God, you must also strive to perceive the right person to associate yourself with.
Genesis 25:23
And the LORD said to her: “Two nations are in your womb, Two peoples shall be separated from your body; One people shall be stronger than the other, And the older shall serve the younger.”(NKJV)
Genesis 25:26
Afterward his brother came out, and his hand took hold of Esau’s heel; so his name was called Jacob. Isaac was sixty years old when she bore them. Now it came to pass, at the time for giving birth, that behold, twins were in her womb. And so it was, when she was giving birth, that the one put out his hand; and the midwife took a scarlet thread and bound it on his hand, saying, “This one came out first.”(NKJV)
The mother carrying twins represents the church of God carrying two types of people that are found in the church.
There is what is called the birth-right in church, which allows you to get the blessing of God. When the twins Jacob and Esau were born they came out with what was never recorded in their history because the other twin came out prophesying his position in life.
In Genesis 38:25-29 we read about twins being born. Midwives used to tie scarlet thread on the one who comes out first to identify the firstborn.
In this story, the baby that came out first, came out with his hand which was tied with a red scarlet, but this was abnormal.
Later on he withdrew his hand because normally, what comes out first is the head, which talks of authority.
