OLD HARARIANS Sports Club will tomorrow host the seventh edition of the monthly premium lifestyle event, The Big Chill.
The summer edition will present a mixed bag of entertainment with dancehall artiste Dadza D expected to take to the stage together with Ammara Brown, Tehn Diamond, Junior Brown and Take Fizzo.
Organiser Fungai “Kush” Zvirawa of Khaya Defero said the show had a lot in store for fans.
“We’re excited to be officially launching the Carlsberg brand in Zimbabwe, what a better way to do this than at Harare’s premier event?
“The Big Chill is certainly growing as Khaya Defero we’re pleased to be attracting and entertaining over 4 000 people,” she said.
For those new to the Big Chill, the show is about deejays working their magic throughout the night.
“This month the Khaya Defero team has arranged a live broadcast on radio with veteran Otis ‘The Flow’ Fraser. The combination of Ash Styles Zimbabwe and Nivek, DJ Chucky, The Infamous DJ Smoove and Hotspitter will certainly get the crowd hyped,” said Zvirawa.
In previous years the party has brought together the country’s top celebrities and trend-setters with performances from youthful musicians.
This includes the likes of Shinsoman, Junior Brown, Hope Masike, Sanii Makhalima, Carl Joshua Ncube, Cindy, Sniper Storm, Roki, MMT and R’nB superstar Audius Mtawarira. The Big Chill also showcases an all-star cast of deejays.
Traditionally held at Old Hararians Sports Club, the event features live performances by Zimbabwe’s established and upcoming artistes.
The gig also creates a platform for the mature crowd who appreciate the best of Zimbabwean entertainment.
A record 4 000 people attended the show that started off with a small crowd of 350.
Its fan base is also growing on its Facebook page.
