The everlasting bond of loyal companionship

Theresa Mhembere

Side by side, we stand like a relentless pack,

weathering every storm life throws our way.

You are the steady shield against the downpour,

the quiet radiance that turns my darkest hours into daylight.

When the weight of the world threatens to break me,

your presence keeps me grounded, unyielding and upright.

In you, I find a vault for all my joys and sorrows — a rare treasure far beyond the worth of gold.

No connection compares to the sanctuary of our bond.

Simple language fails to capture all you mean to me,

or the depths of my gratitude for all you have done.

Hand in hand, we carry this connection until the very end.
