The God of provision

MANNA talks of provision at a level that flabbergasts your enemy. Manna means “what is this?” (Exodus 16:33-36) The manna which we read of in Hebrews 9 in the golden pot, was stored in the form of an omer.

God said take a golden pot and put an omer of manna in it. Lay it up before the Lord to be kept for your generation. As I mentioned before, maser in Greek is tithe. An omer was a tenth of an Ephah that is a type of a tithe. Anything that is called omer in Hebrew is a type of a tithe.

Therefore, the manna was kept in the form of a tithe.

Exodus 16:36

Now an omer is one-tenth of an ephah. (NKJV)

That Ark represented God’s presence dwelling with the Israelites hence, God wants to see a tithe in His presence at all times. This means when God examines your life, He must see a tithe. If He does not see it, He will not dwell with you.

Everything God does revolves around a tithe. You cannot have the presence of God around you without a tithe in your midst. If you do not tithe, your business becomes coated with challenges.

The pot talks of a human being, that is why manna was in the pot, the vessel that carries life. The pot which represents human vessels was coated with gold. You are a pot that must be coated with gold. In order to be coated with gold inside of you, there must be a life of tithing; an omer of manna and you must dwell in God’s presence.

God must see an omer and then He will enable manna to come to your outer world every morning. Manna in the Old Testament was food, a white coriander seed that would drop on the ground every morning.

In the New Testament Jesus Christ represents the manna. In the Old Testament people looked at manna and said, “What is this?” In the New Testament, they said to Jesus, “Who is this?

” When He walked on water, or stretched His hands to calm the storm, they exclaimed, “who is this?” This is man-hu in Hebrew or manna in Aramic.
