Last year, his images enjoying ice cream trended both in the mainstream media and on social media platforms.
During DeMbare’s league match against Bulawayo Chiefs, which ended goalless last year, Marriot was caught on camera enjoying his ice cream.
And, on Sunday, Marriot was again caught on camera enjoying his ice cream during a friendly match between the Glamour Boys and Hunters FC in Marondera.
This was a better start to the week for Marriot after his world was again rocked by his players going on a one-day strike to press for their salaries to be paid last week.
DeMbare are in the final stages of their pre-season preparations and will host league champions Simba Bhora in a Castle Challenge Cup showdown at Rufaro on Saturday.
Marriot, whose club will be trying to end an 11-year wait for the league championship, will be hoping the campaign will be as sweet as ice cream.
