GREETINGS beloved nation. Isaiah 60:1-3 says, “Arise, shine; for thy light is come and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.”
God is demanding that the church arise and shine. To arise from unbelief, to arise from a position of mediocrity. God is calling the church to rise to a position of prayer and to begin to take their ambassadorial place in the world because the light has come.
It is for us to arise because the light has already come; it is already present. This is the light that will support our manifestation and differentiate us from the world. It is the light that will give us superior knowledge and wisdom that the world has never seen before. This is the light that our forefathers carried, which has caused kings to be dumbfounded by their level of knowledge.
In John 1:4-5, the Bible says, “In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”
This is the light about which John testified. So, God wants us to manifest this light that gives life to men.
In Isaiah 60:2, the Bible states, “Behold, the darkness shall cover the earth and gross darkness the people.”
There is a darkness that will cover the world. Not only that, it will develop into a gross darkness upon the people and some of the effects of this gross darkness are already evident. It manifests in the way people behave, causing men and women to commit blasphemous acts — things that are against human nature and that are being regarded as normal.
These are signs of the darkness that has covered the earth.
May the church of God arise, shine and begin to demonstrate the light that can make darkness flee. The problem with the church is that we have hidden this light inside our buildings and have not taken it to the marketplace or to our places of residence. May God awaken us in this season.
The Bible tells us in Isaiah 60:2-3, “But the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee, and the Gentiles shall come to thy light and kings to the brightness of thy rising.”
The reason we are not seeing nations coming to our businesses, workplaces, schools or neighbourhoods is because this light has been designed to attract Gentiles to the light we carry. This is a powerful light that will cause things to follow us or be attracted to us without us chasing after them. Remember, it is the light of God that causes darkness not to comprehend this light.
We are living in a season where the church is chasing after things. Everything in life is meant to be attracted and drawn by the mystery of this light. The Bible says the Gentiles shall come to our light, not just our familiar friends, because when those who know you bless you, it’s difficult to say it is God. But when strangers feed your flock, then you will know it is a dimension of the grace that this light carries.
The Bible also states, “kings shall come to the brightness of thy rising,” so there is a dimension of light that the church must demonstrate to attract kings. Kings will not come simply because they are busy, but when they see this brightness, they will come seeking solutions that this light produces.
Let us arise so that this light will be seen in the body of Christ and the darkness covering the earth will flee because of this light. Remember, we are ambassadors of the kingdom of God; we represent God on earth. As we arise, this darkness cannot stand because we are carriers of the light. If things are not attracted to us, it is a sign that we are not carrying the light.
I would like to invite you to receive Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour. Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that He is your Lord and Saviour and you shall be saved.
God bless you all.
