“FOR I am the Lord, I do not change; therefore, you are not consumed.” — Malachi 3:6
The longer you walk with God, the more vital it becomes to know Him, not just experience Him. Experiences are fleeting, but a revelation of who God is will sustain you in every season. Over the last two weeks, we remembered what God has done and learnt to trust Him when things look different.
This week, God is inviting us to anchor our faith in something deeper: His unchanging nature. Circumstances shift. People change. Seasons turn. But God remains the same. He is not seasonal; He does not grow tired, distracted or distant. The God who moved powerfully in your past is not weaker today.
He has not lost interest in you, nor has He run out of compassion, power or mercy.
Hebrews 13:8 declares: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.”
This means whatever He was then, He still is now. If He healed then, He heals now.
If He delivered then, He delivers now.
If He saved then, He still saves today.
Many people chase “moments” with God but never truly come to know Him.
While moments can inspire you, knowing His character will anchor you.
When you truly know who God is, your faith no longer collapses when the atmosphere changes. Your worship becomes deeper, steadier and stronger. Your testimonies are more than just stories — they are revelations of God’s identity. Every victory you have experienced reveals a facet of His nature. If He provided when resources ran out, He revealed Himself as Provider. If He rescued you when you were trapped, He revealed Himself as Deliverer.
If He forgave you when you did not deserve it, He revealed Himself as Redeemer.
Psalm 102:27 says: “But You are the same and Your years will have no end.”
The God who met you at the altar years ago is the same God meeting you this week.
He has not changed His mind about you, He has not withdrawn His calling and He has not cancelled His promises.
If you have been discouraged because you are waiting for God to move exactly the way He used to, hear Him saying: “Don’t limit Me to a method. Trust My nature.”
His power is not tied to a specific style, sound or season. Revival is not about recreating a formula; it is about responding to a faithful God. In this season, God is shifting our worship from being driven by desperation to being rooted in adoration.
This worship says: “God, even if You do not change my situation, You are still worthy.”
That kind of worship releases breakthroughs because it honours God for who He is, not just for what He does. I invite you to lift your hands — not to ask or request, but simply to acknowledge Him. Begin to declare who He is to you: “You are faithful. You are holy. You are good. You are able.” As worship rises, faith deepens. As faith deepens, fear loses its grip.
The more you know God, the less intimidated you become by your circumstances.
If your confidence has been shaken, it is not because God failed; it is because your focus drifted. Today, God is restoring that confidence by revealing Himself to you once again.
If you are struggling with doubt, inconsistency or spiritual insecurity, lift your voice and declare: My God does not change. His faithfulness remains. What He was then, He is now. I trust His nature. My God is still able.
In 2 Timothy 2:13, we are reminded: “If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.” Even when your faith feels fragile, His faithfulness is firm.
The same God who carried you through yesterday is holding you today and tomorrow.
Because He does not change, you can be certain of this: He will do it again.
Amen.
