Gospel music outfit The Unveiled say their hit single Zvichaita Chete has become a breakthrough song for the group, opening new doors and reaching audiences across the country.

Released on February 12, the song has amassed more than four million views on YouTube and has become popular on radio stations, in public transport and even in churches.

Group spokesperson Ashley Mapfumo said they are overwhelmed by the response the song has received.
“We are blown away by the way Zvichaita Chete took over the airwaves. It’s something we never expected and it has opened new doors for us. We’re also encouraged by the testimonies that we’re receiving from people through that song,” said Mapfumo.

Following the success of the track, the group on Thursday released a new song titled Mwari Wazadza, featuring Snowy. Within minutes of its release on YouTube, the song had already started attracting viewers online.

“Mwari Wazadza featuring Snowy was recorded live during our live album recording in April at East End Hall by Naledi Media. This year, we’ll be releasing our second live album and also touring the UK, Scotland, Australia and Canada,” he said.

The release signals another busy year for the gospel ensemble as they continue to grow their audience locally and internationally. – Follow on X: @mthabisi_mthire
