There is no profit in smearing Zanu PF

Dr Obert Moses Mpofu

At times, great expectations are often followed by great disappointments.

When one sets out to be ambitious, they should always be honest with themselves as to what they can achieve.

To want to tear down one of the biggest political movements through disinformation is to be overambitious.

Those of us who are familiar with certain issues tend to sit back, relax and watch those who think they are wise go about making noise on what they have very little knowledge of.

The so-called keyboard warriors have been on a campaign to create false narratives about the goings-on in ZANU PF.

But the party remains as solid as ever.

The doomsday prophets will always be disappointed.

My party’s name and its leadership are constantly abused by those with a proclivity to sow chaos.

There is no profit in these smear campaigns. Disinformation has become a less effective tool for turning the people against the movement they have a deeper connection to.

ZANU PF belongs to the people, and they will always dictate how their movement operates. Let people see through the contrived imaginary scenarios within ZANU PF, created by our enemies, which will never see the light of day.

As always, such predicted events, fissures or assumed challenges within the party will never come to pass.

Our leadership is united and firmly pursuing the people’s agenda, which is the attainment of Vision 2030.

This is the focus of our party, and all else borders on needless sideshows.

I want to urge our people not to be swayed or have their time wasted by merchants of chaos and confusion.

This year, like all the years before, we have lined up several programmes, projects and events for our people.

The party will continue working tirelessly to achieve its aspirations despite the noise spread by those less informed on how it operates.

There is a reason ZANU PF has stood the test of time.

We are ideologically clear and methodical in our approach.

We have the ability to deliver for our people and meet their expectations.

There now seems to be a rise in mercenaries who want to sabotage our movement through social media platforms.

Such efforts are fated to fail.

We should take all the necessary steps to ensure that those who seek to reverse our gains do not succeed.

Our people need to be conscientised on the bad apples amongst us.

We are doing very well as a party under the guidance of our First Secretary and President, His Excellency, President Cde Dr ED Mnangagwa.

Our successes are the ones that are drawing attacks from detractors.

They are trying all they can to sow divisions in the ruling party.

Unbeknown to them, what binds our movement is far greater than their ability to put a dent in it.

Those expecting ZANU PF to fail are in for great disappointment.

The colossal people’s party will always adjust and evolve.

ZANU PF will always meet the people’s aspirations, which is the reason they vote for it every time.

The symbiotic relationship that exists between ZANU PF and the electorate is what makes it possible for it to retain power at every turn.

We will forever strive to uplift our people and protect the gains of the liberation struggle.

So, those who have great expectations that ZANU PF will fail will certainly face great disappointment.
