Thief caught on CCTV

AN employee at Anjin Diamond Company in Marange has appeared in court after he was caught on CCTV stealing mining equipment from a warehouse. Thulani Mangani (29) of Makambe village under Chief Musarurwa in Chivhu appeared before Mutare magistrates’ court charged with theft.

He admitted to the offence when he appeared before magistrate Mr Tendai Mahwe who remanded him in custody to May 6 for sentence.
Anjin Diamond Company was represented by Andrew Mangwende, a security officer.

The State, led by Mr Chris Munyuku, told the court that on April 22 this year at around 6:30am, Mangani commenced duty as usual at the company. At around 8am, while he was cleaning the company’s main warehouse he stole 25×3 boxes of grinding blades, eight carrier bags and eight drill bits which were in boxes.
