Court Correspondent
A 23-year-old man was arrested at the Harare Magistrates’ Court last week after stealing a tyre from a truck parked at the court. Dennis Mudadi of Mbare was caught by police officers while trying to flee with the stolen tyre. In an interview with The Herald after being arrested, Mudadi said he was passing by the court when he saw the tyre and decided to steal it. “As I was walking in the car park I saw the tyre at the back of a truck and I decided to steal it. I intended to sell it since I was desperately in need of money.

“I only walked a distance of about 10 metres and I was stopped by police officers who arrested me,” he said.
