Thieves break into Colonel Chiwenga’s shop

Four suspects have been arrested in connection with a break-in at a shop owned by Vice President Constantino Chiwenga’s wife, Colonel Miniyothabo Baloyi-Chiwenga.

The incident occurred at Sam Levy’s Village in Borrowdale, Harare,
The suspects, Blessed Luciano, Isaac Craig Chaza, Strive Matangira and Succeed Mukaro, allegedly stole mobile phones valued at US$13 420.

They were apprehended on Tuesday by detectives from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) in Borrowdale.

National police spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the arrests and said the suspects are expected to appear in court tomorrow.

“The suspects were arrested yesterday and most of the stolen mobile phones have been recovered,” said Commissioner Nyathi.
