Thousands of women get chicks under Presidential Poultry Empowerment Scheme

Thousands of women have gathered at Tafara Grounds in Mabvuku, Harare, to receive chicks under the Presidential Poultry Empowerment Scheme.

The empowerment scheme is a brainchild of President Mnangagwa and it seeks to capacitate women from across the country.

Zanu PF Secretary for the Women’s League, Cde Mabel Chinomona is the guest of honour at the event and will hand over the chicks to thousands of women this afternoon.

Several affiliate organisations such as Young Women for ED, Pastors for ED and Teachers for ED, among others, are in attendance.
