THOUSANDS of Zion Christian Church Kumuka Kuvakafa (ZCC-K) will start congregating at the church’s headquarters in Mwenezi on Wednesday for a special Easter conference that will celebrate the nation’s enduring peace.

ZCC-K pilgrims will converge at the Garare Church headquarters until Sunday. The church’s leader, Bishop Emeritus Lyphet Nhaudzashe Matenda, said this year’s Easter conference will celebrate peace in Zimbabwe and pray for more years of visionary leadership under President Mnangagwa.

“Our pilgrims from all the four corners of the globe will be coming to Garare where we will be celebrating and praying for enduring peace in our country under the leadership of President Mnangagwa,” he said.

“Some misguided elements called for demonstrations on March 31 to disturb the country’s peace and journey to Canaan and God derailed their evil plans after the demonstrations flopped.”

Bishop Matenda, who is also the Apostolic Christian Council of Zimbabwe national chair, said his church members are ecstatic to come and celebrate in peace and tranquility in a country that has been pivoted for transformative development.

“As indigenous churches, we will continue to pray for peace and prosperity in our country and also our President so that he continues to deliver visionary leadership on our voyage to Canaan,” added Bishop Matenda.

This year’s conference will be held under the theme, “Repent and Get New Outlook and Power in Christ as He Resurrects.”

ZCC-K is rolling out a number of empowerment projects including construction of a school and agricultural projects at its Garare headquarters in the Mwenezi rural heartland.
