Three women in court for assaulting friend over Zimdancehall artist killer T

A HARARE woman, Ashely Maruruma and her two accomplices appeared in court on allegations of assaulting her former friend over Zimdancehall musician Kelvin Kusikwenyu, popularly known as Killer T.

Kusikwenyu’s name was revealed during the vetting process.

Maruruma (21), Tarirashe Muzhuzha (23) and Mishel Madenga (23) were facing assault and robbery charges when they appeared before Harare magistrate Mr Tapiwa Kuhudzai.

The complainant is in this case is Lisa Suwani (26).

On February 5, 2026, the trio reportedly lured the complainant to a house in Madokero via WhatsApp message sent from a new phone number.

The message implied that there was a client who needed wigs and she wanted the complainant, who sells wigs, to make a house call in Madokero.

The complainant and her assistant, Jestina Mutunhure, proceeded to Madokero from the CBD.

Upon arrival at Madokero Blue roof shops, the complainant contacted the client, who in turn indicated that she was sending someone to fetch them.

After some time, the complainant met with the girl who was sent to fetch them, and they proceeded to the client’s house.

Upon arrival at the house, the complainant was surprised to see Madenga and she realised that the accused persons were the ones who had lured her to the house.

The court heard that Madenga, who was holding a stick, snatched the complainant’s paper bag with wigs.

The trio began punching the complainant, accusing her of spreading bad news about Maruruma’s boyfriend (Killer T).

Matunhure tried to restrain the three accused persons from assaulting her boss and they also assaulted her before stealing her iPhone and bag with US$320.

After that the trio fled the scene.
