Tia takes ‘Euphoria’ to fans

The svelte diva, who was picked as Zimbabwe’s face of Red Lion Pim Pin by a top South African fashion house, is basking in the glory of her single “Gimme Love”, a club banger.
According to her manager, Tia whose real name is Portia Njazi, will give her fans a special performance at the Avondale Shopping Centre car park this Saturday.
“There is going to be CDs on promotion starting as early as 2pm right through to 9pm. It’s going to be a hive of activity, as Tia will be signing autographs as well as taking pictures with her fans.

“One thing about her is that she really loves her fans and she will be taking time off to mix with her followers as a tribute for their support. But much more important Tia will give a special performance for at least an hour,” her publicist said.

“Euphoria” has received rave reviews in both local and regional media as well as getting heavy rotation on Channel O.
The 10-track album shows the extent to which the “Boy You Got To Know” hitmaker has matured.

It has a touch of hip-hop, soul, reggae/dancehall, pop to dance music, a sign that Tia is moving with the world trends.
The track list also includes songs like “Anything You Want”, “Barbie Swagg”, “Suntans and Jacuzzi”, “Candy and Crazy”, which features the Jamaican-based Zimbabwean chanter called Kemson.

She also collaborated with Jamaican dancehall star Sizzla Kalonji on a hit single titled “Harare”.
The song was co-written by both artistes.

“Euphoria”, an essentially feel good album was recorded at Crossline Music and Video, another leading studio in Harare.
Tia rose to fame in 2003 after her hit single “Boy You Got To Know” produced by the late Fortune “McDaddy” Mparutsa topped the charts, before releasing her debut studio album – “Spice It Up” – in 2007.
The album subsequently earned her a string of accolades, including the Zima award for best urban grooves (female).

She made history when she was the first female R&B artiste to be signed by Gramma Records, one of Zimbabwe’s biggest music companies, a feat which provided ample testimony of her talent.
