Tigers, Bulldogs clash

THE Dairibord Schools Rugby Festival reaches its climax today as top teams clash in the final day at Prince Edward today.

Several high-profile matches are lined up starting at 9am.

Roosevelt take on Girls High in one of the biggest rivalries in the game.

The main match of the day will see Prince Edward Tigers take on Churchill’s Bulldogs in what is expected to be a battle royale.

Tigers are yet to taste defeat.

Bulldogs assistant coach Bob Mahari said they will remain focused even though it’s always difficult to play against the Tigers.

Chipinge based school, Sahumani Secondary, who are in the second year of participation at the festival, sais they are enjoying every moment.

“We started introducing rugby in 2012 as a past time but the kids have started to appreciate it and we have so far managed to win and introduce it to several other schools,’’ said sports director, Moses Hakuna.
