Herentals 1-0 Bulawayo Chiefs
SUBSTITUTE Tinotenda Benza once again rose from the bench to claim three points for Herentals against Bulawayo Chiefs in this Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at Rufaro yesterday.
The 18-year-old proved the difference in the 75th minute when he connected a rebound to give Bulawayo Chiefs goalminder David Bizibani no chance.
It was his third goal of the season.
The evenly-balanced encounter saw Herentals dominating position in the first half with Archmore Majarira getting the real chance in the 19th minute.
He was teed off by his elder brother, Blessing, but rushed his effort and it went wide.
Herentals coach Kumbirai Mutiwekuziva said the three points will go a long way in their battle to avoid the chop.
‘’We are targeting to survive the chop and getting these points is a good thing after coming from a series of draws.
‘’We need to play Premier League football next year.
‘’Bulawayo Chiefs are a difficult side and we are happy for our goal-getter Tino who once again proved the difference,” said Mutiwekuziva.
