TM Pick n Pay supports Breast Cancer Awareness Month

TM Pick n Pay has once again launched its annual Pick Pink Campaign, reinforcing its commitment to breast cancer awareness, early detection and access to cancer screening services across Zimbabwe.

The campaign, run in partnership with CABS, encourages women to prioritise regular screening while mobilising support for cancer awareness and patient support programmes.

The initiative is already making a significant impact. Funds raised through the 2025 Pick Pink campaign are supporting a national screening programme that aims to reach 10 000 women by February 2027. Since screenings began in March this year, 7 153 women countrywide have received free breast and cervical cancer screenings. Proceeds from this year’s campaign will help continue and expand cancer awareness, screening and patient support programmes throughout 2027.

“Breast Cancer Awareness Month reminds us that early detection saves lives,” said Malcolm Mycroft, managing director of TM Pick n Pay.

“We are encouraged by the impact achieved so far and remain committed to helping more women access vital screening services.” Throughout October, customers can support the campaign by purchasing selected Pick Pink merchandise in-store. In addition, CABS will contribute towards the Pick Pink Fund through customer transactions made on CABS Point of Sale machines.

The partnership gives customers a simple, everyday way to contribute meaningfully to the fight against breast cancer and to national health outcomes.

This year’s campaign also features the Swipe. Win. Fly! promotion, giving shoppers the chance to win return trips for two to Johannesburg and spending money, while driving greater participation in the cancer awareness initiative.

The momentum continues into Blue November, TM Pick n Pay’s men’s health awareness campaign, highlighting prostate and testicular cancer awareness and reinforcing the retailer’s commitment to preventive healthcare and early detection. TM Pick n Pay encourages all Zimbabweans to support the fight against cancer by participating in the campaign and helping expand access to life-saving screening services.
