Tocky Vibes brings different vibe

Most dancehall artistes release their albums with songs riding on popular ridims.
Recently Soul Jah Love released his album “Kuponda Nhamo” with the title track riding on the popular Xmas Money by Levels Chillspot.This has not been the case on Tocky Vibes who released album “Toti Toti” that has a different feel.

The musician fused marimba, keyboards and guitars making his music different from other dancehall artistes who have been riding on riddims.

He further defended his title “Dancehall Priest” with lyrics that have serious meaning.

The eight track album opens with the title track that discourages people from taking short cuts in life. People are encouraged to take their time in doing their work.

“Kuhope” is the second song that tells how a man met his partner in dream. On the song the keyboard dominates other instruments.
The musician consoles himself in song “Hande Toki”.

The musician said it is that self esteem he has that pushes him forward.

He penned another love song “Ita Undide” that has a traditional feel. In that song he encouraged a girl to love him.

“Usarara Muka” is a song that makes the album outstanding with its message and the arrangement of the instruments.

People are encouraged to work hard as good things do not come on a silver platter.

Recently the musician has been failing to perform well at most of his live shows and the media has been factually reporting about his bad performances.

In song “Nyama yekugocha” the musician pleads the media to be lenient with him.

In “Mweya Wekubara” the musician pays tribute to his mother and the last song “Papa” the musician sings in English praying for his father.

In an interview the musician said the album was a reflection of what is happening.

“We are trying to bring something new on the music scene,” he said.

The album has already made an impact on the chats as people have appreciated the changes he made on both his sound and type of music.
